The Wienermobile Rolls through Washington

The South Sound staff got an exciting visit yesterday: The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile rolled up to our Tacoma office so we could check out the infamous hot dog on wheels! A highlight of the experience was a special performance of the Wiener Jingle in Spanish by Hotdoggers Tony Bologna and Habanero Hayley. We also got Wiener whistles, jingle sheet music, and an excuse to act like 10-year-olds for a while.

Tony Bologna and Habanero Hayley are taking the Wienermobile around the Pacific Northwest through next June.

The Wienermobile will be in Washington through the weekend for anyone in the South Sound to visit. Today, Aug. 31st, you can find it at the Fred Meyer in Federal Way  (33702 21st Avenue SW, Federal Way, WA) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tomorrow, it will be at the Fred Meyer in Burien (14300 First Ave South, Burien, WA) during the same time period, and Sunday, at the Fred Meyer in Tacoma (4505 South 19th, Tacoma, WA), also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Pacific Northwest Wienermobile is one of six hot dog-shaped vehicles nationwide on tour between June 2018 and June 2019. The PNW Wienermobile will cover 11 states, including Washington, over the year. Next week, Tony and Hayley will take it on to its next big adventure — so be sure to catch it in Washington while it’s still around!
