This summer, head to Gig Harbor to catch some tunes at the Harbor History Museum’s summer concert series Third Thursdays at the Museum.
This month the musical guest is new world music group Trio Guadalevín on July 28.
Named after the ancient tributary that goes through the city of Rhonda in Andalusia, Spain, Trio Guadalevín will bring forth a wave of worldly sounds ranging from all stretches of different regions throughout the world. Their work includes the deep root musical stylings of the Americas with Southern Europe, the Maghreb and West Africa, and music that connects indigenous, Arabic, African, and European cultures.
Artists Abel Rocha, August Denhard, and Antonio Gómez perform melodies in various forms of Spanish, Italian, Moroccan, and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. for happy hour featuring 7 Seas beer, a selection of Pacific Northwest wines, and complimentary appetizers.
Tickets are $18 for museum members and $25 for non-members and also include entry to the museum exhibits at night. Don’t miss your chance to experience a global experience at the Harbor History Museum’s summer concert series.
