Taildragger Coffee in Tumwater is hosting open mic nights on the second and last Fridays of every month. It’s a way of bringing the community together in a family-friendly setting.
People are invited to show off their talent by signing up 45-minutes prior to showtime. Each person will get up to 15 minutes to show off their skills on the outdoor patio stage.
“We have a beautiful outside patio with a great deal of space,” said coffee shop manager Ella Pinter. “We’re still masking up and taking precautions but were looking for a way to bring the community together again for a fun Friday night.”
Order sandwiches, kombucha, smoothies, and coffee while you watch the performances.
The shop also is partnering with a husband-and-wife team that makes fresh malasadas. Plants and merchandise by Busy Bee’z Home & Garden Place and other vendors also are for sale.
“We’ve gotten really positive feedback and it just brought so many people together,” said Pinter. “People were coming up and telling us how much they loved it and we had all ages there.”
Join Taildragger Coffee’s Open Mic Night from 6-8 p.m., May 28.
