The ultimate cute factor will increase four-fold as endangered clouded leopard cubs make their first debut Friday morning at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Folks will officially be able to see the babies regularly during feeding times. If you miss them at 9:30, 1:30 and 5 p.m. you can check out the zoo’s Facebook page for a quick cuteness-fix.
The cubs were born on May 12. It’s the fourth litter for mom, Chai Li, and dad, Nah Fun. The quads have yet to be named and like before, the public will weigh in.
Zookeepers are feeding the cubs every four hours since mom Chai Li demonstrated after 30 hours of feeding them she was done.
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is one of the leaders in the conservation of the clouded leopards. There are only 93 clouded leopards in 25 North American zoos. Eleven of them call Tacoma home.
