Catffeinated, a new Tacoma cat cafe, has recently opened and we got the inside scoop on this purr-fect spot for your next caffeine and cat fix. Located right in the heart of the Sixth Avenue business district, this spot officially opened for business Dec. 15, 2019.
Offering different coffees, teas, and food options, get something yummy and sit down in the cafe to view the cats through the lounge window. Or, an even better alternative, purchase an hour long session in the cat lounge for $10, and get to play and interact with all of the feline friends.
Through a partnership with Auburn Valley Humane Society, all of the cats at Catffeinated are adoptable — the goal being to make sure these furry critters are finding reliable and loving homes. Each cat is microchipped, de-wormed, neutered/spayed, vaccinated, and given a flea treatment prior to leaving the shelter. And for every cat that is adopted, the owner will receive a coupon for a free full medical check-up by a local vet.
To ensure that the cats feel safe and at ease in their space, only up to 10 people are allowed in the lounge at one time. Be sure to secure your spot ahead of time and book your reservation online.
On top of their daily offerings, Catffeinated will hold special events from time to time — follow their Facebook page to make sure you don’t miss out. The cat lounge can also be rented out for private events such as parties and other gatherings. For more information on rates, visit this website.
Open at 10 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday, be sure to check out Catffeinated for a pawsitively good time!
