If you ever visited the Supermall in Auburn you probably remember its scratched wood flooring, the 90’s signage and its inconvenient layout. The Supermall is nearing the end of its $35 million transformation into The Outlet Collection. The new mall has been completely redesigned with a designer brand row that will include Nike Factory Store, Michael Kors, Brooks Brothers, Chico’s Outlet, Loft Outlet and J. Crew Outlet. These iconic fashion retailers will join the 130 existing stores including Coach Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory, Tommy Hilfiger and Nordstrom Rack. The mall is no longer divided into two sections. It is linked together with an H&M that is expected to open this September. The new mall is also expected to bring some 3,000 new jobs to the area. While the mall is currently open, many of the stores are still under construction. The grand opening will be Oct. 17-19.
