Super Bowl Sunday Festivities

We’re pretty bummed that our Hawks didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year, but that doesn’t mean you have to bail on the festivities. You also don’t have to do all your cheering from home: Tacoma has plenty of Super Bowl events to keep you hyped and happy as you cheer on your team of choice. Check ‘em out!

Odd Otter Brewing Company

Want to make your grandma’s special wing recipe and share it with the whole bar? Head to Odd Otter for a bar-wide potluck that will connect you with fellow Tacomans as you try each other’s dishes, kick back with a beer, and watch the game on three big screens. Odd Otter offers a wide variety of delicious brews, so there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Rhein Haus Tacoma

If you’re looking for some delicious Midwestern eats to hit the spot as you watch the big game, Rhein Haus has you covered. Special food and drinks will be available just for Super Bowl Sunday — think cheese curds, tater tots, beef-based dishes, beer, and bootleg cocktails. All three owners are Midwest natives and grew up with these dishes, so don’t worry: you’re bound to stay satisfied with these authentic classics.

RAM Restaurant and Brewery

On Sunday, RAM is offering happy hour food all day, along with drink deals and beer specials. We don’t know about you, but some classic bar food and a good IPA sound like pretty ideal partners for the big game. The classic sports bar even offers extensive allergy-friendly options — total score for everyone.

Super Bowl 5k and 10k

You’re definitely going to ditch your diet for the day, so why not help your body out a bit with a nice morning run before the game? Virtual Run Events is hosting one for Super Bowl Sunday; run anytime, anywhere, report your time back, and get a medal shipped to you in the mail. Registration is $18 and covers your medal, bib, and a donation to Soles4Souls, an organization that provides shoes and clothing to those in need around the world.
