Weekly Nourish Food Bank

The Nourish Mobile Food Bank hosts weekly donation sites throughout Pierce County. The organization has locations in Hilltop, the Salishan Association, Tacoma Community College, and near Mary Bridge Children’s, among others. Families receive a pre-packaged box depending on the number of family members. Nourish is the largest system of food banks in Pierce County, with 26 weekly distribution locations. Plant-Based Taste Vegan Market

Check out the free Plant-Based Taste vegan market on Saturday for vegan sweets, treats, and drinks. Stop by University Place from 2-6 p.m. to meet local vendors, vegan cooks, bakers, artists, and more. Vendors will include jewelry from The Rockin’ Diva, baked goods from Pastry King Pasteles Finos Del Angel, and beautiful indoor gardens from Harolyn’s Hobby House. 

Thursdates at The Melting Pot

Valentine’s Day is over, but that’s no reason to stop celebrating your special someone. Each Thursday, The Melting Pot hosts a romantic Thursdate dinner. Stop by with your loved one for a four-course meal. Fond of fondue? The romantic dinner starts with cheese fondue, a salad, and your choice of filet mignon, Atlantic Salmon, sirloin, and more.
