Food stylist and recipe writer Danielle Kartes, her photographer and husband Mike Kartes, and photographer Jeff Hobson are hosting a workshop in Seattle to show you the tricks of their trades.
The workshop is Sunday, Oct. 23. They will touch on many topics including food styling, photography, lighting, cooking, blogging and marketing. Participants can bring a camera or use one that is provided.
All three created a cookbook together and they have been published in many places, including 425 magazine!
They recently returned from New York where they taught a similar class.
“Brooklyn was a game changing point in our career. We set out to do something different half a world from home, and it went off beautifully,” said Danielle Kartes. “Fifteen people joined us from all over the country and we ate and laughed and talked technique and business.
“We shot dish after dish and had people style their own food,” she said. “I am still beaming from the success that was had and the friendships made.”
The event begins at 11 a.m. Cost is $485. Register here.
