Whether you pull into the driveway or happen by this stately waterfront home by boat, you’ll recognize it’s an eye-catcher. It looks like a piece of New England landed in Gig Harbor. This newer custom home built by two local retirees is a result of research which included several trips to the East Coast and a lot of picture taking. This home is their vision realized and it’s nothing short of breathtaking.
“This is the best house I’ve ever built,” said Kim Kramer, project manager at Harrison Homes of Gig Harbor. “Not so much the house, but the collaboration and cooperation with the owners and how pleasant they were. They were great, great people to work with.”
The retired dentists knew exactly what they wanted. Kramer and Shiela Off, a certified master kitchen and bath designer from Signature Woodworks in Tacoma, both noted that it made their jobs easier. Mike Cina of AustinCina of Tacoma was the architect and Sandra Newell of Sandra Newell Interior Design of Gig Harbor was the designer. The team was assembled before the house was started.
The 4,760-square-foot home took about 16 months to complete. Even though it is newer, it’s a classic shingle-style Colonial and it looks as if it has been holding court on the sweet slice of sparkling waterfront property for the past century.
