Five Picture Perfect Pumpkin Patches

This fall, visit one of the South Sound’s many farms in search of the perfect carving pumpkin. But don’t stop there. The full farm experience stretches beyond the pumpkin patch. These select farms have hayrides, corn mazes, animals and fall treats.

Hunter Family Farm
In addition to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides and kiddie train, the Hunter Family Farm in Olympia has a new giant jumping pillow for the whole family.
Dates: Oct. 3-31.
Hours: 9am-6pm daily.
Price: Free admission. There is a small fee for each activity.

Picha Farms
Picha Farms in Puyallup offers family-friendly fall activities that include a trivia corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch, hot apple cider and other snacks.
Dates: Sept. 28-Oct. 31.
Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am-6pm.
Price: Corn maze is $6 per person. Ages 3 and under are free.

Schilter Family Farm
Work your way through a 5-acre corn maze, take a pony ride, meet the farm animals, grab the perfect pumpkin from the patch and be sure to stop by the Tasty Treats Barn at Schilter Family Farm in Olympia.
Dates: Sept. 28-Oct. 30.
Hours: 10am-6pm.
Price: Starting at $5 per person. Family passes also available. Ages 2 and under free.

Maris Farms
Maris Farms in Buckley has an 8-acre corn maze and 8-acre pumpkin patch for the traditional pumpkin-picking experience. But it also has a Kids Courtyard with rides and games and offer trips through the Haunted Woods and Monster Safari.
Dates: Oct. 4-31.
Hours: Monday-Friday 1-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-6pm.
Prices: Monday-Friday $7 and Saturday and Sunday $12

Rutledge Corn Maze
Rutledge Corn Maze in Olympia is perfect for those looking for the ultimate haunted-maze experience.
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 19-Nov. 1.
Hours: Maze opens at dark (about 8pm-12:30am).
Price: $13
