Slideshow: Zoo Additions at Point D

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium has announced the arrival of a few cute new additions to its family of animals recently. The first, a precious Sumatran tiger cub named Kali, has already been quite a hit with visitors to the zoo’s Cub Den. Watch this video of zookeepers feeding the tiger cub to see why!

Kali isn’t the only new cat in town, however, as an adorable clouded leopard cub, Tien, was born into the zoo’s family on May 1. The tiny cub has also greeted his new fans in the Cub Den, and is likely to see more and more time out in public as he grows older. Both Sumatran tigers and clouded leopards are endangered species, and the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium works hard to educate its visitors about how to help protect these gorgeous animals.

Last, but not least, are the new harbor seal pups, born in June and only recently on display in the Rocky Shores area of the zoo. The adorable pups are growing fast, so now is your best time to spot them while they’re still young!
