This week’s Pet of the Week is Sam, an energetic, 2-year-old Whippet/Airedale terrier mix with a sweet and goofy personality.
This total sweetheart would make a great adventure buddy. Sam is not only adorable and scruffy, but he is also extremely smart. He already knows “sit” and is crate-trained.
Sam is an active boy that will need lots of playtime, exercise, and food puzzles to keep him healthy and happy. He loves other dogs so much so that he will need a home that already has a dog friend for him to play with all day to help burn off his energy and keep him occupied when you’re not home.
Sam will also need a home (no apartments please) with no cats, a big fenced in yard to run around in, and no kids under 16 because of his rough-and-tumble play style. He is such a fun boy that cannot wait to feel the wind in his fur as he zooms around his new yard. If you are looking for a fun loving, active, sweet (and did we mention handsome?!) pup to add your life then come on down to meet Sam today!
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 6,000 pets every year. The Silverdale-based organization has a “lives saved” rate of over 95 percent, and never euthanizes an animal due to lack of space. In addition to caring for and adopting animals, Kitsap Human Society also provides spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County and Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to surrounding municipalities.
