Pet of the Week: Leon

Meet this week’s Pet of the Week: Leon. Leon is a uniquely handsome Pit Bull-Shar Pei mix with the cutest little ears and curled tail, who is approximately two years old.

Pet of the Week

Leon is a bundle of fun and energy. He’s never found a ball he didn’t want to chase, a stick he didn’t want to carry, or a scent that didn’t need sniffing! Leon loves to go for walks and would make a great hiking, jogging, or walking buddy. Not only is he a super playful pup, he is a complete sweetheart. Leon’s kisses are just as addictive as his personality. He loves to snuggle in the evenings, especially after a busy day of fun.

Leon previously spent some time in foster care, where he got to work on his house training and inside skills. Leon’s ideal family has a house (no apartments) with a securely fenced-in yard where he can run and play while staying safe and secure. He needs a home without children under 10, and needs to be the only pet in the home, though he may be able to have dog friends once he has settled in to his new home. If you’re looking for an active dog who just cannot wait to be your best friend, come in and meet Leon today!

Leon is available for adoption at Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale. See the full listing here.

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 6,000 pets every year. The Silverdale-based organization has a “lives saved” rate of over 95 percent, and never euthanizes an animal due to lack of space. In addition to caring for and adopting animals, Kitsap Human Society also provides spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County and Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to surrounding municipalities.
