Pet of the Week: Duke

This week’s Pet of the Week is Duke, a sweet 7-year-old pup available for adoption from Kitsap Humane Society.

Duke has the most unique look — short little legs and a long body — and seems to be a basset hound/pit bull mix.

Pet of the Week

Duke is still active and playful despite being a senior gentleman. He loves to go for walks and play in the yard.

This handsome boy is house-trained and enjoys playing with other dogs. However, he does need a home without cats and without kids under the age of 16. If you have the perfect home for this awesome dog, come in and meet Duke today.

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 6,000 pets every year. The Silverdale-based organization has a “lives saved” rate of over 95 percent, and never euthanizes an animal due to lack of space. In addition to caring for and adopting animals, Kitsap Human Society also provides spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County and Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to surrounding municipalities.
