This week’s Pet of the Week is Dave, a 3-year-old black cat with an adventurous spirit. He is a sweet boy who really enjoys attention. Once you start with the chin scratches, he will nuzzle his head into your hands for more.
Dave can also be a bit silly. Sometimes when he is getting pet he will roll around and show you his belly. The quickest way to win this cat’s heart is through play. He loves to run around after laser pointers or catch a wand toy.
Sometimes Dave can get a bit excited when playing or being pet and can become a little sassy, so he would do best in a home with no kids under 6.
You may notice that Dave has a unique look to him and is missing some fur. He’s hoping to find a forever family that will love him for who he is and accept him regardless of his looks. Can you open up your heart and home to this sweet, fun boy? If so come on down to meet Dave today.

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 6,000 pets every year. The Silverdale-based organization has a “lives saved” rate of over 95 percent, and never euthanizes an animal due to lack of space. In addition to caring for and adopting animals, Kitsap Human Society also provides spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County and Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to surrounding municipalities.
