Pet of the Month: Sarge

If you’re home is feeling a bit empty, and you’re jonsing for adventures with a four-legged friend, then your soul mate might be right here.

Sarge is a gorgeous and sweet 4-year-old boxer/shepherd mix with an active and fun personality. He loves to play and run around to get all of his zoomies out, and his favorite toys are of the chewing, tugging, and squeaky variety.

He would love to go home with an active family to take him on long walks, runs, and hikes, and then snuggle up with you on the couch after a long day of fun.

This pup would thrive in a forever home that can give him consistency and routine and would benefit from positive reinforcement training and food-oriented puzzles that stimulate his brain.

We’ve been told he is house trained and loves car rides. It’s important to note that he will need to go home with an adopter that has a secure fully fenced in yard, so no apartments, please. He is a rough and tumble kind of guy that loves to bounce around and play and would do best with kids over the age of 10, so he doesn’t accidentally play too rough with them.

Sarge loves to explore and follow his nose, so he will need savvy adopters that will keep him supervised or on a leash to make sure he doesn’t stray too far away from you. If he sounds like the perfect match, stop by to visit him. You also can learn more about him on his adoption page.
