Pet of the Month: Rolph

Meet Rolph!

Rolph is a kindhearted 3-and-a-half-year-old Pitt Bull mix with the biggest smile and best personality to match. Who says lap dogs have to be small? Rolph here believes lap dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and he cannot wait to cuddle his forever family.

It’s hard to believe that he has been at our shelter for such a long time — thankfully he hasn’t let that bring him down. He is quite the smarty-pants and already knows “sit,” “lie down,” “shake,” and is crate-trained.

Rolph is a huge fan of yummy treats, bones, and chew toys. He is more than happy to spend his days chomping away while he is snuggling into his bed. This sweet and sensitive boy love butt scratches, belly rubs, and playing tug with his toys.

Rolph would do best in a home (no apartments please) with a fully fenced yard to run around and play in, and use for potty breaks. He’s also looking for a home with no small kids due to his size and strength (he doesn’t want to knock anyone over). Since Rolph wants all your love and attention to himself, he’d appreciate being the only pet in the home.

This big, strong hunk of love cannot wait to meet his forever family. To learn more about him, visit his adoption page and come on down to the shelter to give this sweet boy the home of his dreams!

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 6,000 pets every year. The Silverdale-based organization has a “lives saved” rate of over 95 percent, and never euthanizes an animal due to lack of space. In addition to caring for and adopting animals, Kitsap Human Society also provides spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County and Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to surrounding municipalities.
