Opening this November, Gig Harbor-area residents will have a new option for family-friendly entertainment west of the Narrows Bridge. Ocean5, a new entertainment concept from longtime Gig Harbor resident and former Starbucks chief operating officer Troy Alstead, is a multi-story entertainment complex designed to provide memorable experiences for families and teens. The 57,000-square-foot center features a two-story laser challenge arena, bowling alley, game room, event space, and more.
“Ocean5 has been a vision of mine for 10 years,” Alstead said. “Bringing this space to the community where we live and are raising our children is a huge part of that dream. I’m excited to be giving the South Sound a space where friends and groups have enough elbow room to relax and just have fun, whether they stay for an hour, an afternoon, or a night out.”
When the entertainment center opens later this fall, Alstead hopes to see it serve as a place for family, friends, and the community to gather and connect. Additionally, Ocean5 will offer education programming for youth, as well as partnerships through local nonprofits and community volunteer events.
Table 47, a new restaurant also slated to open this November, will be located inside the same building as Ocean5.
