Gig Harbor-based 7 Seas Brewing Company kicked off 2019 by releasing two new beers.
The Willie Maize Haze is brewed with flaked oats, maize, and lots of hops. According to a statement released by the brewery, the beer has “a soft, silky mouthfeel” and “a strong, juicy punch of flavor and aroma.”
The Axis Brut is a newer style of IPA. It’s light-colored, effervescent, and has “an intense hop aroma” and very little bitterness.
“I’m simply beyond enthusiastic about the release of these two new delicious and innovative IPA styles,” said Travis Guterson, 7 Seas’ co-founder and director of brewing operations. “The beers have been a total team effort, from the development of the recipes to designing the packaging, (and) we are thrilled to expand the broad spectrum of tasty IPAs we produce.”
Both beers will be available year-round at Washington retailers in 12-ounce cans. See the brewery’s other beers here.
