New Music Festival to Debut in Walla Walla

The foothills of the Blue Mountains will come alive with music during the two-day Huichica Walla Walla music festival on Sept. 13-14. The two-day food, wine and music festival is perfect for couples and families alike and will feature opportunities for camping and luxury glamping canvas tents, too.

Presented in partnership between Sonoma’s Bundschu Company(((folkYEAH!))), and Walla Walla’s Sleight of Hand Cellars, the two-day all-ages festival will feature live music, high-quality wines, craft beers, and locally-sourced food from the region’s finest purveyors. Huichica Walla Walla will take place at Stella’s Homestead, 2194 S. Fork Coppei Road in Waitsburg. Stella’s Homestead grew out of the historic Hansen wheat and cattle farm, established by Jim and Geraine Hansen in 1947. Today, their daughter Cheryl hosts events of all types in the lush pastures, gardens and park areas, historic 1938 barn, and outbuildings.

The inaugural Huichica Walla Walla lineup will feature established and up-and-coming indie and folk artists including the Fruit Bats, Yo La Tengo, Destroyer, Allah-Las, and many more. The event is bringing the boutique “farm-to-table” approach to the music scene.
