Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles’ Third Annual Pickle Hunt

pickles1_webYou don’t have to wait for the Easter bunny to get your scavenger hunt fix. On Friday Nov. 14 Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles is celebrating National Pickle Day by hosting its third annual City-Wide Pickle Hunt. Located in Tacoma, Washington the family operated business is known for their all-natural and hand-packed gourmet pickles. (You may have also seen them on ABC’s Shark Tank).

The goal of the Pickle Hunt is to promote local Tacoma businesses and provide a fun day for family and friends in the 253.

Mayor Strickland will begin the hunt by announcing the first clue at 9am on the Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickle Twitter and Facebook page. Clues will be given every hour until 5pm via Twitter and Facebook.

The challenge is to find the twelve jars of Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles hidden in local businesses throughout Tacoma. Jars include up to $1,000 in cash and prizes from Tacoma-owned retailers.

Upwards of $8,000 in prizes will be awarded through out the scavenger hunt, including additional prizes at the free post Pickle Hunt party located at The Harmon Tap Room. The local brewery will serve free appetizers during from 5-7pm.

Any resourceful or simply just lucky hunters who snag a jar can redeem their prize at The Harmon Tap Room directly after the last clue.

Lynnae Schneller, President of Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles is calling this year’s event, “Better than ever thanks to all the participating local businesses and sponsors.”

Some of the businesses partaking in the event include; The Emerald Queen Casino, The Rainiers, Hotel Murano and The Grand Theatre.

Don’t forget to try one of Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles signature pickles. Favorites include Mrs. Pickles, a sweet and sour dill or Hot Mama, a dill with a bit of a kick.  After all, you can’t celebrate National Pickle day without a pickle.
