Local Plumbing Company Goes Above and Beyond

Navigating essential functions has been a difficult task for small businesses these past several weeks. Tacoma-based Harts Services, a highly rated plumbing company founded in 2013, has not only been ensuring customer safety with a zero-contact policy; it also is delivering essentials to those who cannot access the items they need.

“The health and safety of the communities we serve throughout South Sound are priority number one for us,” Richard Hart, co-owner of Harts Services, said in a statement. “Our entire team has really stepped up to the occasion, adhering to new safety protocols and taking the utmost care when interacting with each and every customer.”

New health and safety standards include equipping team members with gloves and professional sanitation equipment, as well as asking that they observe social distancing and avoid handshakes or high-fives with any customers. Harts Services also has cut trip charges in half and is offering no-interest financing to be respectful of people who have lost jobs but still need to address issues like leaks or clogged drains in a timely manner.

Whenever possible, plumbing service experts working with Harts Services are offering to pick up groceries, toiletries, and prescriptions for customers while on the way to a home for a service.

“Our motto at Harts Services has always been ‘we care more,’ and that rings true now more than ever as more families begin to shelter in place per Washington state’s stay at home order,” Dan Hartsough, co-owner of Harts Services, said. “It’s essential that those spending more time at home have access to clean, hot water at all times of the day. We see it as a civic responsibility to protect those resources for our community, and we look forward to continuing to serve Tacoma and South Sound throughout this pandemic and beyond.”
