Tacoma’s Lobster Shop Named One of America’s Most Scenic Restaurants

The Lobster Shop on Tacoma’s Ruston Way was recently named to OpenTable’s 2018 list of the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America. The list was made based on more than 12 million diner reviews of more than 28,000 restaurants across the country.

“We know a memorable meal is as much about the ambiance as it is about the food,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable’s chief dining officer, said in a statement. “This year’s list represents an immense variety of restaurants that not only offer an exceptional meal but also feature breathtaking views that enhance the experience for locals and travelers alike.”

The Lobster Shop has been a longtime Tacoma favorite, for the views, of course, but also for the fresh seafood, the cocktails, and the extensive weekend brunch.

“We can’t take credit for the spectacular scenery, but the incredible view and great people are two of the reasons we feel so blessed to be in the South Sound,” said Katie Driscoll, co-owner of the restaurant.

Three other Washington restaurants were included on the list: The Pink Door and Ray’s Boathouse in Seattle and Clinkerdagger in Spokane.
