On Saturday, April 5, don’t miss the Living Pink Pageant, a local fundraiser for breast cancer survivors. Join fellow cancer fighters at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center for a no-host cocktail bar and hors d’oeuvres at 6pm and the pageant at 7pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youth ages 13-18. Tickets are available on EventBrite.
The Living Pink Pageant is now accepting contestants. To qualify to be a constant for the Living Pink Pageant, one must have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Funds are raised through donations leading up to and during the pageant. The winner is determined by whichever contestant raises the most funds.
The Living Pink Pageant will raise money to benefit the Carol Milgard First Look Voucher Program.
Owned by the Franciscan and MultiCare Health Systems, Carol Milgard Breast Center is a non-profit breast imaging center and is managed by TRA Medical Imaging. The First Look Voucher Program is available for medically deprived patients, women up to 34 years of age or men of any age who are not insured and have experienced breast-related health problems.
