La Perla del Mar

We’d heard rumors of an outstanding Mexican restaurant that was well worth visiting when thoughts of ceviche and seafood cravings set in. Sure enough, one trip to La Perla del Mar was all it took to make us believers. We tried the snack portion of Camarones Ahogados, shrimp “cooked” in lemon, tossed with cucumber and red onion slices, chopped tomatoes, and Serrano chiles and sprinkled with cilantro, served with perfectly crisp, flavorful corn tortilla chips to use as dippers. The menu and serving sizes here are large, and the fan base is, too — both locations of La Perla are doing a brisk take-out business: one in the Lincoln International District (253) 380-8489 and one in Parkland on Steele Street (206) 519-2546.
