11988763_951793048176847_7326370578825165977_n2Celebrate National Pickle Day on Saturday, Nov. 14 with Mrs. Pickles Gourmet’s annual citywide pickle hunt. Starting at 9:30 a.m. Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland will give the first clue that will be posted on Mrs. Pickles Gourmet’s Facebook page. Clues will be issued every 45 minutes until 2:45 p.m.

Eight jars of pickles will be hidden in Tacoma businesses for pickle-hunters to locate and win prizes. Each jar is worth $200-$500 in cash or prizes from Tacoma businesses. A small prize will also be given to the second person at each location.

“We are appreciative and thankful for our dedicated fans and supporters that have stuck by our side throughout the years,” said Aly Cullinane, president of Mrs. Pickles Gourmet, formerly Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles. “We have a lineup of great local businesses participating this year, and the hunt should be a fun-filled day of festivities for all to enjoy.”

More than 30 businesses will be participating in the pickle hunt. After the hunt, there will be a celebration at Frog N Kiwi Café. The first 100 guests at Frog N Kiwi will receive a free jar of pickles and snacks, desserts and coffee/tea will be served. Kids can play for free for one hour with a signed waiver.
