Love food? Love watching TV? Love Washington? Well Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives,” combines all three. Recently the show visited Olympia’s own Fish Tale Brew Pub, where Fieri had a hard time selecting which delicious item from the menu to choose. Eventually, the host opted for the Brew Pub’s famous modern take on Bangers and Mash, made up of two hand-cast English-style sausages, sautéed carrots, and garlic mashed potatoes, and the Crab Cannelloni, made up of Dungeness crab, shrimp, and ricotta in an egg-roll wrapper and baked in a roasted red pepper cream sauce. The restaurant’s owners confessed he also snuck samples of other menu-items such as the fish tacos and nachos.
“This is such an incredible honor for our entire Fish Tale Brew pub family after over a decade of commitment and hard work. Words cannot describe how thrilled we are to have our story broadcasted to the rest of the country,” Max DeJarnatt, who manages the brewpub, said. “We can barely contain our excitement because we want to share this achievement with the community that has supported us over the years!”
The Fish Tale Brew Pub has been serving happy customers food and hand-crafted ales in Olympia since 1993. Recently they opened a second location just up the road in Everett as well.
