Gingerbread Showcase Flaunts Tacoma’s Flavor

Your favorite Tacoma landmarks have been recreated as sweet treats. Local bakers and culinary students from Tacoma Public Schools built miniature versions of the city’s most iconic buildings out of gingerbread and candies for Gingerbread Showcase. Union Station, Cheney Stadium, and Tacoma Children’s Hospital are just a few of the local landmarks displayed at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Tacoma. The event is presented by Rebuilding Together South Sound, an organization that improves the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. The event’s organizers hope to make it an annual Tacoma tradition.

Stop by and see these sweet masterpieces through January 2. More information can be found online.
