May is Tacoma-Pierce County Bike Month, which means there are many pedal power events happening in the area. This is the 10th year for Bike Month.
But before Bike Month officially starts, there’s a chance to get new-to-you wheels at the Bike Swap at University of Puget Sound on April 29. The swap begins at 10 a.m., and it’s free to attend. Meet other bike enthusiasts and learn more about biking in Tacoma and Pierce County.
Find more events throughout the month at bike253.org.
Want a biking challenge? Take part in the Bike Everywhere Challenge and win prizes. It’s simple: ride your bike in May and log the trips on PierceTrips.com. You can compete as an individual or as a team. If you bike as often as possible, you can earn gift cards to local businesses.
