The City of Lakewood Reinvents Holiday Traditions

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the City of Lakewood is reimagining two of its annual holiday festivities: its virtual tree lighting ceremony and Parade of Lights. The 24th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which normally takes place in front of Lakewood’s City Hall, will happen virtually this year on Dec. 7. The Parade of Lights, which normally includes a variety of lighted floats, vehicles, and marching bands passing through a downtown route as spectators watch from the sidelines, will become a stationary display of decorated and lighted floats on Dec. 12. Festive Christmas Outfits

Though we may not be able to get together and wear our favorite ugly Christmas sweaters and our jingle bell antlers this year, you can still don your favorite holiday garb at home. Here are some Christmas outfit ideas to get you started.

Sing-Along with Santa

Santa Claus is virtually coming to the Tacoma Musical Playhouse this Saturday. Gather family and friends for this virtual special holiday musical performance and sing-along. Santa Claus himself will make a special appearance to visit, sing carols, and read The Night Before Christmas. Learn more.
