YMCA Offers Dinner for Kids in Tacoma and Lakewood

Families with kids under 18 can pick up fresh food for dinner today and a shelf-stable meal for tomorrow through the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties. Tacoma Community House Raises $77K

In its second annual virtual Be A Champion of Social Justice, Tacoma Community House raised over $77,000. Through the funds, TCH is able to serve thousands of immigrants, refugees, and U.S. citizens through its core programs of immigration, education, employment, advocacy for victims of crime, and housing. TCH is hoping to raise $100,000 this year. To learn more, click here.

Calling All Nature Lovers

Do you see raccoons in your backyard at night? Maybe you see bunnies when you’re walking your dog, squirrels while you’re playing at the park, or possums sauntering across the street. From April 30-May 3, you can participate in the Family in the City Nature Challenge. The annual global event helps people in cities learn about the wildlife they share it with. More here.

Reggae Act Two Story Zori Returns to Tacoma’s Jazzbones

Jazzbones has been inspiring and supporting Tacoma’s live music scene since the early 2000s. Although not operating on a regular schedule since the onset of the pandemic, the venue is now hosting a number of limited-capacity events open to the public.
