Olympia Downtown Alliance Announces New Festival 

A new summer festival? Yes, please! The Olympia Downtown Alliance is launching a weekly summer street festival this Saturday, July 10. The free LoveOly Summer Fest will feature musicians ranging from The Black Tones to the Cavities. Read more about the festival’s musicians, art, and beer here.

Kona Brewing Co. Beach Clean Up 

No one wants to surf on dirty beaches, so Kona Brewing Co. is cleaning them up. On July 13, Kona Brewing Co. will launch a 10-day beach clean-up. The Catch a Clean Wave event will stretch across the West Coast, hitting the beach of La Push first. Professional surfer Anna Ehrgott and surf photographer Sarah Lee will host beach clean-ups at 15 beaches along the Washington, Oregon, and California coasts. Port of Olympia Kicks Off Summer Movie Series 

The Port of Olympia brings the best of summer events to NorthPoint waterfront starting Saturday, July 31. Enjoy everything from live music and outdoor movies to food trucks and a beer garden. Show up right at 4 p.m. to check out local food trucks and Nicole’s Bar Beer Garden followed by a musical performance and an outdoor movie screening. Downtown Olympia Honors Community Leaders 

The Downtown Olympia Alliance and the City of Olympia displayed a street pole banner project in Downtown Olympia July 1 that honors the community’s diverse leaders. The people displayed range from historical figures to present-day leaders who have made a difference in the region. Olympia High School students approved the honoree recommendations, researched the figures, and developed the banner content. The City invites community members to kick off the project and launch the 2021 LoveOly Summer Fest on Saturday, July 10, at the Capitol Theater. Learn more here.  

Medicine Creek Winery Hosts Craft Market  

Shop from local vendors while sipping local wine. Medicine Creek Winery, located in Nisqually Valley, will host a craft market this Saturday, July 10. The market will feature more than 60 vendors, ranging from food to art. The event has something for the whole family, from food and wine to art and live music. Learn more about the craft market here
