Emerging Seattle Country Artist Reaching New Audiences Through Spotify

Emerging singer-songwriter David Miner has had the title song off his recent album Silver Valley added to Spotify’s Indigo playlist twice this year — and his audience is only growing.

The Indigo playlist, with includes Miner alongside artists like Charley Crockett, Colter Wall, and John Prine, embodies a broader genre of music fitting somewhere between country and Americana.

Although born and raised in Seattle, Miner didn’t pursue a musical career until moving to Colorado, which he now calls home. It was there that his early love for music evolved into serious songwriting, which he further developed when he began playing local gigs.

Inspired by many of the great storytellers of country music, Miner writes all of the music he releases.

“As a songwriter, I am greatly inspired by people like John Prine and Guy Clark, and their gift for storytelling,” said Miner. “As a musician, I’m inspired by Waylon Jennings and his innate ability to make any song sound like a Waylon song. I try to combine these two ideas and write songs that not only tell a good story but will get your foot tapping.”

Miner continues to make his mark across the Rocky Mountain range from Montana to Colorado and everywhere in between as a promising singer and musician.

“I want people to hear my music and not only be captured by the words they hear, but also know it’s one of my songs as soon as the first chord is strummed,” said Miner.
