Though school may be back in session, there’s still just a bit of summer left to enjoy the beautiful weather. To savor the end of summer, Downtown Tacoma Partnership launched its Eighth Street Eatery, an outdoor dining food court.
The Eighth Street Eatery, located between Pacific Avenue and Court A on Eighth Street, will run every Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. while the weather lasts.
“With longer wait times due to limited capacity in restaurants and dine-in reserved to people from the same household, the Eighth Street Eatery is the solution you have been looking for. Come enjoy it this Friday and help spread the word,” Downtown Tacoma Partnership said in an Instagram post.
Customers can order their meals to-go from participating restaurants, bring their meal to Eighth Street Eatery, and savor it in the heart of downtown Tacoma. Customers are expected to clean up after themselves and wear masks before and after eating.
In order to keep everyone safe, there will be staff members disinfecting tables between use.
