Din Tai Fung coming to Westfield Southcenter

A new Eddie Bauer and Din Tai Fung will open at Westfield Southcenter mall in 2016.

Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese restaurant will open in December 2016. The 9,346 square foot space will be the restaurant’s largest location in the region. Founded in Taiwan  in 1958, Din Tai Fung has locations around the world. The Southcenter location is the latest Washington location. There are locations in Bellevue and Seattle. Internationally, Din Tai Fung has locations in Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Other United States locations are in California.

“We are very excited to open at Westfield Southcenter and bring our authentic Taiwanese food to the southern part of the Puget Sound region,” David Wasielewski, managing partner of Din Tai Fung, said in a press release.

Din Tai Fung isn’t the only newcomer to the shopping center. Eddie Bauer will open a 3,855 square foot store at Southcenter in April. The Northwest-based brand sells clothing for an outdoor lifestyle.

Westfield Southcenter has recently welcomed several new retailers in the past year including Teavana, Lolli & Pops, Mio Ro, Brookstone, and an Amazon Pop-up store. In total, the shopping center is home to more than 200 retailers, making it one of the largest retail centers in the region.
