Trade in those cavity-makers for cold hard cash
On Halloween (and all the events leading up to the spooky day) kids are collecting bags of candy. And while it is tasty, and fun to gather, many parents find themselves struggling to ration out the loot.
Several local dentists are offering a better solution — they will buy back the candy, and many are donating the candy they collect to military members and more.
“It’s not just about buying candy, its about showing kids that they can give back to the troops, and have a greater impact on the world and at the same time do something great for themselves and their health” says Dr. Linh Nguyen of Best Dentistry, which has offices in Auburn and Seattle.
Best Dentistry’s event will take place from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Nov. 1 at both offices and is opened to all kids wishing to donate their candy. They will be paid $1 per pound of unopened treats they donate. There also will be fun events like photo booths, prizes, and gift bags (minus sugar, of course!)
