There’s no doubt that we’re having a menswear boom. Blame it on Mad Men, Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” song or the economy’s slow revival, suits are in high demand. But a suit can look as sloppy as sweatpants if it doesn’t fit right. Enter Indochino’s traveling made-to-measure menswear pop-up store. The Vancouver BC based company is sending its custom tailor team to Seattle for the very first time from Oct. 3-13 at Harbor Steps, 1220 Western Ave.
Here’s how it works: Over the course of a 30-minute Traveling Tailor appointment, Seattle men will be measured by a fit specialist and walked through the customization process. There are 20 suit customization options and 8 shirt customization options. Suits start at $429, shirts start at $79 and all customizations are free.
So what’s the big deal? There are already a ton of other custom suit tailors in the area, right? The difference is Indochino uses technology to get the fit just right, their collections are polished and perfected and they’re only here for a limited time.
“At Indochino we try to help men dress better by leveraging new technology to scale traditional tailoring practices like pattern creation and customization – making custom clothing accessible to all men for the first time,” said Kyle Vucko, Indochino Co-Founder and CEO.
Traveling Tailor Seattle’s hours are: 8am-8pm weekdays, Saturdays 9am-8pm and Sundays 10am-7pm. Appointments can be made at: http://www.indochino.com/traveling-tailor/seattle
