Auburn Symphony Orchestra’s ‘The Planets’

After a week of unbelievable sun, the gray and rain are supposed to return. But not to worry! There is a fun, indoor activity the whole family can enjoy this weekend — the Auburn Symphony Orchestra’s “The Planets.”

This performance is a feast for the senses. The live orchestral music will be choreographed to visuals created by Adrian Wyard and based on real NASA images from rovers, satellites, and other spacecraft.

Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” will be conducted by guest conductor Anthony Spain. Ferde Grofé’s “Grand Canyon Suite” will also be included in the program.

Watch clips of the performance here and here.

The show starts at 2:30 p.m. on April 29 at the Auburn Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost $37 for general admission, $30 for senior admission, and $10 for student admission.  For tickets and more information, visit the Auburn Symphony Orchestra’s website.
