365 Days/365 Plays at UW Tacoma

It’s showtime! 365 Plays/365 Days, a collection of plays written by Suzan-Lori Parks, is playing at the University of Washington Tacoma campus this weekend. Toy Boat Theatre, in collaboration with UW Tacoma, will perform a selection of 30 of these short plays, which explore themes of politics, relationships, race, history, and the military. You’ll also get a fresh take on well-known works and experience a visit from The Supremes.

The show’s actors and production crew include UW Tacoma students and alumni, as well as actors from the area. This performance is the fourth in a series of collaborations between Toy Boat Theatre and UW Tacoma, all of which have featured relevant and inclusive plays that touch on current issues in American society.

Show dates are Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. (free preview), Nov. 18 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com or at the door. For more information, email artistic director Marilyn Bennett at marilyn.bennett60@gmail.com.
