3 to See: Week of Mar. 14

Women of Comedy at Tipsy

Perfect for date night or just a night on the town with the girls, Women of Comedy at Olympia’s first piano bar is sure to leave you in hysterics. Beginning at 6 p.m. this evening, gather at Tipsy Piano Bar and watch as Rachel Laurendeau, Mary Lou Gamba, and Monica Nevi take the stage and perform their best standup. Event is 21 and over and tickets are available online, or at the door.

Nature After Hours – Hoos & Booze

Gloriously, the temperature is slowly beginning to raise making it less painful and more reasonable to spend time outdoors. For your first outdoor excursion, may we suggest a Friday evening hike with Point Defiance Park Rangers? During the hike you’ll learn about the park’s five species of owls followed by an adult beverage at the fireplace at the Pagoda on Trolley Lane. Dress weather appropriate and gather at the Pagoda at 6 p.m. Tickets are $22.

Tacoma City Ballet Storytime

Make a memory this weekend by bringing your ballet-loving kiddo out to a ballet storytime in Federal Way. Costumed dancers from the Tacoma City Ballet will narrate, afterward, the performers will be available for photos, impromptu dancing, and children will be able to participate in a marionette-making activity. Storytimes take place this Saturday beginning at in the morning 11:30 at Barnes and Noble or the afternoon at 1:30 at the library on 320th Street. Costumes are encouraged.
