The Pacific Northwest’s Largest Pride Festival

To wrap up pride month, Seattle is throwing a mega festival. From June 28 through the 30th, the pride festival will take over Capitol Hill on 11th Avenue between East Pike and East Pine. The performance lineup includes drag artists from RuPaul’s Drag Race, DJs, musical acts, and local queer performers. The weekend is kicking off with TV personality and fashion guru Carson Kressley — come on, do you really want to miss that? Check out the full line-up and purchase tickets here.

The Conclusion of The Great Race

After stopping at more than 15 West Coast cities, 120 vintage cars will wrap up nine days of a timed, precision endurance journey when The Great Race concludes in our area June 29 and 30. The public is invited to come watch the final leg of this epic race that began in Riverside, California. In Pierce County, drivers will finish the second-to-last day of the race at LeMay Collections at Marymount. The following day, they’ll race toward the grand finale at America’s Car Museum. Racers are expected to begin arriving at the final finish line between1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on June 30.

Freedom Fest at Joint Base Lewis-McChord

What better way to celebrate the land of the free than ringing in the Fourth of July by literally visiting the home of the brave on an actual operating military installation? From 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 4, Joint Base Lewis-McChord is opening its gates for a day of fair-like food and games; live entertainment; car shows; and, of course, fireworks.
