Symphony Tacoma’s ‘Scheherazade: Beyond the Silk Road’

If you’re ready to go on a magic carpet ride and see a whole new world, consider checking out Scheherazade: Beyond the Silk Road at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, enjoy this exotic concert, featuring music that will transport you from Tacoma to India and the Far East. Tickets range from $24 to $85 and are available online.

Story Alive at Children’s Museum of Tacoma

We know Snowmageddon left most South Sound parents in the lurch with no way to entertain their children while stuck in doors. Now that the dreaded snow has finally melted, it’s time to get back out into the world. Consider the upcoming Story Alive event at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma. Listen to speech therapist Lorraine Maida as she brings The Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Hungry Bear to life with puppets, music, and fun. Afterward, let your kids burn off their wiggles in the museum.
