3 to See: Virtual Painting, Maritime History, and Plant and Junk Sale

The Joy of Painting (and Sipping)

Back by popular demand, the Washington Society of CPAs is hosting another Bob Ross-esque virtual paint and sip, live on Zoom this Friday from 6-9 p.m. Registration includes a 5×7 canvas, a full set of brushes, a recipe list of spring-inspired cocktails, and a set of paint to create your masterpiece. Fort from Home Brings Maritime History

This week, Fort Nisqually’s virtual program series Fort from Home will bring audiences two programs on the maritime history of the Fort and Puget Sound. On May 15, Fort interpreter and educator Michael ‘Tug’ Buse will discuss early steam navigation on the Puget Sound. Buse will share the history of three historic vessels — the Beaver, Otter, and Fairy — and present his hand-made model of the steamer Fairy and other artifacts.
