3 to See: A Pride Party, a Film in The Park, and a Local Market

Pride Rooftop Party

Help celebrate Alma Mater’s return to the live music scene this Saturday, July 10. Its rooftop Pride party will feature music from Reverend Dollars, Dining Dead, Da Qween, and more. The free event — starting at 6 p.m. — is open to everyone over the age of 21. Proceeds from each drink made with Crystal Head Vodka, one of the event sponsors, are donated to the Rainbow Center. Check out the performance line-up here

Celebrating Pride At The Cinema

Enjoy a chill evening celebrating Pride with a movie in the park. The feature film, Saturday Church, highlights a 14-year-old’s gender-identity journey with support from the transgender community. The Grand Cinema, Tacoma MetroParks, the Rainbow Center, and GESA Credit Union join forces to bring the movie to the big screen at Wright Park this Friday, July 9. Pack a blanket, snag some Grand Cinema popcorn, and enjoy the movie starting at 9 p.m. Register for the free event here
