3 to See: Fall Theatre Classes, A Virtual Harbor Days Celebration, and Open-Air Dining

Fall Theatre Classes

Looking to get creative this fall? The Tacoma Little Theatre announced that autumn classes are now available for enrollment. The virtual courses, some of which are open to all ages, cover everything from improv to tap-dancing. For enrollment information, head to the theatre’s website

Harbor Days Goes Virtual

Olympia’s beloved Harbor Days event is trying something different this year in light of COVID-19. The annual celebration, put on by the South Sound Maritime Heritage Association, will be virtual but will creatively incorporate key aspects of traditional festivities. From Sept. 4 to Sept. 6, this year’s event will include a LEGO tugboat building online workshop, crab bingo, a beach quest, and more. Head to the Experience Olympia website for more information.

Open-Air Dining

Kent is continuing a new tradition this weekend. Every Saturday for the last few months, the City has backed 1st Ave Inside OUT, a day-long event that allows restaurants and retail shops to use the adjacent street and sidewalks for outdoor dining seating and as a marketplace. Participating businesses include Dogwood Lounge & Cafe, Thai Chili, Afghan Kebab, and others. COVID-19 related health regulations will be practiced and closely monitored. Find out more here
