3 to See: Art & Imbibing

French Impressionism and the Northwest

A new exhibition showcasing French impressionism’s influence across the U.S. will be available to view for the first time in the Northwest. Works by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, and other notable impressionists will be on display together as Tacoma Art Museum presents Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Their Circle: French Impressionism and the Northwest. An exhibition launch event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sept. 27, while group tours and curator talks continue through Jan. 5.

Celebrations and Beer are Brewing at Rhein Haus for Oktoberfest

When it comes to an authentic Oktoberfest, no one does it better than Rhein Haus Tacoma. For two weeks, the popular eatery will have plenty of German brews on hand to enjoy while listening to the sounds of the Down Home Band and The Smilin’ Scandinavians. Don’t forget to bring the kids to enjoy Lebkuchenherzen craft kits. Celebrations are on now through Oct. 6.

Steins & Stems: Puyallup’s Art, Wine & Brew Tour

Each ticket includes a tasting cup, eight tasting tickets, a tour map, a guide to the city’s outdoor art gallery, and a reusable bag to carry home the many bottles of wine you will inevitably buy. Tickets are $25 and available online.
