3 to See: A Virtual Santa Visit, Handmade Market, and Drive-Up Donations

Santa Visit

Through Dec. 19, the City of Auburn will host virtual Santa visits for kids on select days. When registering for a 10-minute, live video chat with the man himself, include personalized information about your children for the chat. After it’s over, you’ll receive a recording of the video call to keep. Visit the City of Auburn website for more details and to secure a timeslot.

Virtual Handmade Market

Handmade PNW will put on a virtual holiday market this year with local businesses like the Cascade Candle Company, Happy Fox Studio Jewelry, and many more. Alongside locally made art and gifts for sale, there will be a fundraiser for nonprofit Food is Free Tacoma. A Zoom party is set for Dec. 4 and the virtual marketplace will be open for shopping until Dec. 8. See specifics and register through Handmade PNW’s website.

Shelter Shower

Swing by United Way of Thurston County Dec. 10 in Olympia to drop off in-kind donations to SafePlace and Pear Blossom Place. These nonprofits support individuals and families in the community in need of basics like hygiene products, cleaning supplies, blankets, and more. See additional details about the 12th annual Shelter Shower drive-through, including a list of items for donation, here.
