Toscanos Is Mad For Martinis

For the past 12 years, Toscanos Italian Grill in Puyallup has made thousands of martinis in thousands of intricately-designed and themed martini glasses as part of the restaurant’s Martini Madness event aimed at ringing in the spring season.

This year’s event has gone to the peacocks, that is, this year’s martinis will be served in brightly-colored, hand-painted glasses emblazoned with peacock feather designs.

The event, which kicked off Feb. 20, will run for six weeks featuring the artwork of local artist Kathy Ward in a variety of colors, which will change weekly. One week will feature a peacock royalty theme with purple and lavender painted glasses, for example.

Restaurant-goers can try Toscanos’ Royal Cosmo with Effen black cherry vodka, lime, and cranberry; taste Queen Rosemary’s Strawberry Gin Drop; or enjoy any of Toscanos’ other specialty drinks made with Effen vodka or Jim Beam bourbon and take home a featured martini glass.

Limit two glasses per visit while supplies last. For more information, or to make reservations, call Toscanos at (253) 864-8600.
