Pinball Wizards + Gaming Nerds Unite in Tacoma

Visible_Pinball_III_-_Pacific_Pinball_Museum_croppedIf old school games like Hercules pinball and Duck Hunt arcades get your heart thumping, then you will want to head to the 2013 Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center June 7-9.

The 2013 Northwest Pinball and Arcade show will feature 400 games and they will all be set on free play. Your admission allows you to play, play and play some more. There will also be tournaments, vendors selling collectibles, guest speakers, prizes and who knows … maybe some world records will be set.

In its 6th year, the Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show used to be held at the Seattle Center. This is the first time the show has made its way to Tacoma and organizers picked Tacoma due to its close proximity to I-5, two hotels, lots of inexpensive parking, free Wi-Fi and because it had more space.

The games being featured range from nostalgic 1950s favorites to some of the newest pinball kids on the block, including the brand new Metallica and Wizard of Oz. You get to play them all with the price of admission.

Every hour there will be giveaways. One winner per day will get a full-sized pinball or arcade game. The grand prize is a new X-Men pinball game that will be given away Saturday night.

If you think you have what it takes to be a champion, enter a pinball tournament. There will be less-intense tourneys for kids, too.
